4-Week Teen’s Program to Getting Stronger & Fitter – Ages 12 to 15
This 4-week program is designed to encourage healthy changes to diet and lifestyle in teenagers (ages 12 to 15). The program will educate teens about body composition and provide clear and simple guidance on fat loss and muscle gain. Teens who participate in this program will learn about what it means to set health and fitness goals, and how these can be achieved.
The once-a-week 4-week program will combine one-to-one individual sessions as well as group sessions. An outline of the program is as follows:
- Week 1: Group discussion on key principles of healthy eating, exercise and lifestyle habits. Participating teens will be required to email a 3-day food and exercise diary.
- Week 2: One-to-one session on setting personal targets and suggested changes to food and exercise plans. Participating teens will receive a meal plan guide to follow and will be asked to email daily food and exercise diaries every evening until the following week.
- Week 3: One-to-one session for 15 minutes to review progress and take a closer look at individual challenges. Participating teens will be asked email food diaries by until the following week.
- Week 4: Group discussion to review progress, challenges and guidance on slip-ups and unhealthy temptations. This session will focus primarily on maintaining the good practices of the past four weeks.
